Welcome to Optic Echo Records! We have dedicated much time and effort to bring you a hybrid of quality electronic music with some live instrumentation, and you may download a number of albums free for your listening pleasure as our gift to you.
Wilkins Mop, a band consisting of Mike Jedlicka and Nathan Carver Smith, have completed their preliminary EP, which by all accounts is an excellent fusion of organic and electric soundscapes. It is available to download gratuit here.
Panmixia, the collaboration of Optic Echo co-founders Geoff Richards and Mike Jedlicka, has finished working on their debut album entitled Invisible Friend. We're very happy to finally be able to present this work publicly, as it was a project which spanned a few years and many stories.
Mike Jedlicka has finished Leaving Baja, and is making it available to you as a free downloadable mp3 album. It's a mix of ambient, experimental, and downtempo electronic music combined with live instruments. You can download the album here.
Electric Blanket has finished his solo project named Bye-Gones. You may download a free mp3 copy of the album here.
Available now is Justin Brown's debut (free mp3) album entitled The Lost Chord. It could be described as an amalgamation of various styles of electronic music including idm, glitch, downtempo, ambient, and more, but we just think of it as excellent music. Justin is almost finished with his 2nd full length, due for release sometime in 2009.
And finally, perhaps, in the not so distant future, we will get back to vinyl ...
