artistshistorymusichomecontactmyspace     Optic Echo Records sprang from the ashes of the now defunct Dick and Jane Records, which was initially formulated in Iowa City by Geoffrey Richards in late 2002. With Mike Jedlicka and Nikolas Francis, they soon formed a trio focused on creating engaging and experimental forms of electronic music. The initial project was a compilation of their recordings entitled Selective::Retrospective, after which followed solo releases by all three of the founding label artists. Eventually, they all staggered out of Iowa City with fond memories and the intention to continue to move about the world spreading the Optic Echo gospel.     It is our intention for Optic Echo Records to be an evolving amalgamation of new music, artists and design with an emphasis on quality.
