5 years in the making, Optic Echo co-founders Mike Jedlicka and Geoffrey Richards (electric blanket) offer up another serving of free mp3s in the form of their debut collaborative album "Invisible Friend." This long-distance project was crafted as parts were bounced back and forth between Iowa City, Talahassee, Portland and Austin.

Continuing with Optic Echo's tradition of offering free mp3 albums, we're pleased to offer Electric Blanket's (aka Geoffrey Richards') debut full length for the label. This work compiles what Geoff views as his best work and features tracks dating back to the mid-90's as well as much more recent efforts. Most of the songs are solo compositions, but a few tracks feature friends not forgotten but no longer present in his daily life in Austin.

Leaving Baja is Mike's debut effort for the label, and the ambient soundscapes he presents reflect both his previous surroundings in Florida as well as his current home in Portland.

Optic Echo is proud to present a free mp3 album created by our newest artist and longtime Iowa City friend Justin Brown. Follow the link above to the page where you can download the album, which is the result of numerous years of music experimentation and appreciation. He has gone from playing guitar and layering on a 4-track to computer synthesized compositions, and the technology has in our opinion been a benefit to his results. We hope you enjoy Justin's music as much as we do.
