Geoff's updates
4/12/05
Well I've made it to Austin and am finally settled in for the
most part. Been to a few good shows, met a few people, and
all in all I like Austin. I think I'll be here for a couple of
years, but its hard to say. I've set things up to attend school
to study 3D animation starting next month, and am excited to get
on with my life. Kinda been in a holding pattern for a while, it terms
of what I want to accomplish in life. I've spent a lot of time just
trying to figure out what I want to do, and I think this is the career
path I want to take. Not that I think career is everything, but if you
are happy with your job, it means a lot. And so few people are.
So yeah. I'm here, and I think I'll stick around till I finish either
my certificate or associates. And if I can find a job in Austin afterwards
I'll stay, but I really loved Oregon and think I'd like to live there someday.
Oh, I think that I am goin to use the name "nobody no one" for my moniker,
as I don't believe its taken, and it is as ambiguous as my music can be.
I think the album will still be entitled "bye-gones" because it seems
appropriate for a number of reasons, and I don't have a good reason to
change it. Honesly the whole move has been pretty difficult, as I have
removed myself from the stability of my friends and family. I might just be
saying this because of the Iron & Wine cover of "Is it Getting Heavy?" that
I'm listening to now. But yeah, I'm holding on--things are ok.
